Joshua Humbert is a philanthropic strategist with twenty years of demonstrated results and experience in the non-profit sector. He is a subject matter expert on factors that affect philanthropy such as giving, economic empowerment and socioeconomic policies that shape national trends and your philanthropy.
He currently serves as a Vice President for the National Urban League, the nation’s largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy institution. He is responsible for supporting the organization’s advancement of major gifts and partnerships to help ensure that each year this $400 million enterprise-wide Movement serves over 2 million people across 90 affiliates located throughout 37 states.
Joshua is one of only five African-American males to hold a Master’s Degree in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University and certified advisor in philanthropy (CAP). He is a proud HBCU graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Norfolk State University.
Joshua works with networks of individual leaders around the world – including philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, celebrities and civil society leaders – helping them connect to a purpose and become more open-hearted and capable of building trust and collaboration. The result: greatly increased capacity to be forces for change in their communities.
